Chehalem Three Vineyard Pinot Noir
Fresh, ripe and juicy, a nice mouthful of cherry, dusky spice and olive notes, echoing on the smooth finish. This is our "best value" and "approachable early" pinot noir. But that shouldn't fool you into believing the quality is anything but great. Made in exactly the same way as our most highly touted pinots--as a matter of fact ALL pinots are made with the same care, receive the same oak, etc.-- the 3 Vineyard sometimes competes head-to-head with the others for praise.
Chehalem "Three Vineyard" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

90 points Wine Spectator

Fresh and vibrant, with a strong whiff of violet and other flowers running through the cherry and cocoa flavors, lingering against modest tannins.

89 points Wine Enthusiast

Pungent and assertively herbal, this blend of Chehalem's three estate vineyards has aromatics to spare, along with an earthy mix of root, stem and brambly fruit. There's a streak of cola also, and it delivers plenty of power for a cool vintage wine that clocks in at 12.7% alcohol.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Dark red. Aromas of blackberry, vanilla and fresh rose, with a peppery overtone. Smooth and refreshingly tangy, with fresh dark berry and bitter cherry flavors complemented by subtle oak and mineral notes. Finishes smooth and sweet if a bit clipped, repeating the dark fruit note.
