The sunny hillsides were planted to early ripening varieties such as: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Additional vineyards of Pinot Gris, Viognier, and French clones of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have been planted in later years. The first year of commercial production was released in 1978.
