Buy a case of this little gem for $11.69 a bottle! "CMS stands for Cabernets, Merlot and Syrah, the components of this fragrant, fruit-loaded, immensely popular blend. Ripe red and blue berries, tart and tangy, are the stars of this show. No oak here, just plenty of well-defined fruit flavor. The wine is in good supply (28,000 cases); hence the bargain price."Seattle Times "Better than any of these wines by far, and better than anything else I've tasted under $15, is the Hedges "C-M-S" ($14). Not strictly a cabernet (the blend is half cab, half merlot, with a splash of syrah), it makes you wonder whether blending isn't really the best way to go in budget reds. With 20 percent of the fruit from the acclaimed Red Mountain AVA, it brings a lovely mix of red fruits, mineral and fresh roasted coffee beans to the table. It doesn't make the best-seller brigade, but it is widely available throughout Washington, and not to be missed."Portland Tribune says "This wine is big -- plummy and rich with plenty of prominent acid. Hints of cedar and earth dominate the nose, which opens up significantly after a little time in the glass. In fact, this wine improves quite a bit the longer it's open, so pour some and let it sit a bit before you eat. And eat you should, since this wine's young tannins and acidity make a good match for something meaty and rich."
