This brilliant, deep garnet Pinot Noir displays raspberry, cherry and plum aromas, with hints of oak-cedar, cinnamon and vanilla on the nose. With a soft, viscus round entry, cherry and vanilla flavors are accented by cedar and oak. Beautifully balanced, with well integrated oak and a solid acid structure, this wine offers a long, soft, creamy finish.
The King Family came to the making of wine with extensive business experience and an awareness of Oregon's potential to make world-class wine. Ed King, III has been a resident of Oregon since 1979. Both he and his father (and other family members as well) followed the Oregon wine industry for years and were rooting from the sidelines for the wines. Their interest became such that they acquired first one small vineyard, and then another, and then went looking for a major property that would someday become the King Estate.
