Once again Marty Clubb has crafted a stunning semillon, with an ultraripe nose of figs, kiwi, lime and apricots. Along with the bonanza of fruit comes a lot of oak, but it keeps its balance and, flashy though it is, never fatigues. The three ring finish includes coconut, vanillla, pineapple and banana. Who knew semillon could do all that?!
The perfect wine for those tired of Chardonnay, this rich, powerful Semillon is front-loaded with oak and pineapple aromas and big butter and apple flavors. Fresh fruit abounds amid a lush midpalate and tremendous acidity. It's easy to wax on about this wine.
