Sonoma Cutrer. Les Pierres Chardonnay
In Sonoma wine country, this premium Chardonnay speaks to those who drink it enjoyable, well-crafted and exceptional Sonoma white wine. Sonoma-Cutrers attention to detail and Grand Cru methodology truly sets this wine apart. Good friends and family deserve good wine, which is why Les Pierres is ideal for graduations, anniversaries or for your next dinner party. Les Pierres deep, complex flavors speak to the leanness of the soil, and make it a wine worthy of our Grand Cru approach.
This vintage is loaded with aromas of lemon and lime, and accented with hints of Bosc pear, caramel, oak spice and the familiar, flinty, mineral notes that are a defining characteristic of our Les Pierres Vineyard. The citrus flavors of grapefruit and lime are complemented and balanced with toasty, caramelized oak, and spice. Our careful approach to oak aging and fermentation creates a round, full mouthfeel with Sonoma-Cutrers signature bright and lively citrus-laced acidity and a long, lingering finish of nice barrel spice.

Discussions about creating a cutting-edge winery began, and Sonoma-Cutrer gathered a crew of wine experts including Terrence Clancy, Brad Web, Bill Bonetti, Robert Haas, David Reid and Chuck Bennett. Under the guidance of these experts, Sonoma-Cutrer made Chardonnay its main focus, and it was to be made exclusively from Sonoma-Cutrers own vineyards. In 1981, ground was broken for the new winery.
Today, Sonoma-Cutrers flagship wine, Russian River Ranches, is the most requested Chardonnay in Americas finest restaurants according to the annual Wine Spirits Restaurant Poll, April 2013 (22 of the last 24 years). For wine consumers, the name Sonoma-Cutrer is synonymous with superb Chardonnay.
